Can anyone provide good links or suggest references concerning the coastal skirmishes from around 1337 to 1400. I'm thinking not only of the French raids on places like Rye and Winchelsea, and anywhere from Folkestone to Plymouth (especially in 1377) but particularly the English retaliatory raids. Such as that of Rye/Winchelsea in 1378 when they 'visited' Saint-Pierre-en-Port and Veulettes-sur-Mer and recovered the hostages and the church bells the French took the previous year.

I'm particularly interested in any French records of these English raids. The French leaders at the time were the famed French nobelman Enguerrand Ringois (1360 raids) and the Admiral Jean de Vienne (1377 raids along the entire south coast of England).

Any ideas?

If you haven't read Jonathan Sumption's The Hundred Years War: Trial by Battle, I would highly recommend it. It has a great deal of information on the naval aspects of the war.
