hello and a couple of suggestions
Firstly let me congratulate you on setting up this forum and I look forward to sharing information on it. By way of introduction I have been involved in Living history/re enactment since the late 70’s and have specialised in the late 14th and early 15th c for the last 18 years. I am a founding member of Knights Order of Lion Rampant in Australia and with my partner manufacture jewellery and accessories for late 14thC and migration era impressions.
If I may be so bold to make a few suggestions based on my experience of other similar forums. I suspect you will require some more topic fields otherwise the off topic section is going to become awfully crowded. I would suggest possibly a field for arms and armour and associated topics, a field for clothing/costuming , domestic and encampment ( covering portable and non portable items that are not related to art, clothing and harness), possibly one for the re enactment/living history experience and may be even one for people to introduce themselves.
I hope that I am not offending anyone by making these suggestions.
Cheers
Florian

Pleased to have you with us
Nope, not offending. There are sections for those things under the Material Culture heading. I just changed the description to make that more clear.
And there's a topic under 'Impressions' for introductions. and I've changed the description there as well to make it clear
Sorry for the confusion!

Well, ok. Now I fully understand. I'm a chucklehead...
Again sorry for the confusion. The permissions were set wrong, and I didn't understand that. you should now be able to SEE the material culture and Impressions sections...
My bad.

Re: hello and a couple of suggestions
I know as of last night "someone" added a casting and blacksmithing sub category
Re: hello and a couple of suggestions
I'd noticed that, yes. the problem was that the master topic of Material Culture had it's permissions set for 'Admin', and so it was invisible to anybody but us. As were, thus, the sub categories...

Is the same thing going on in the website library section? On the main page, it shows that there are 6 topics with 9 posts, but I can only see 4 topics and 5 posts. Is it just me?
